High-Strength Stainless Steel Wire for Secure Sternotomy Closure
Tektel® is a surgical stainless-steel wire manufactured from AISI 316L grade stainless steel, designed to provide maximum strength and reliability in procedures requiring permanent tissue approximation. It is particularly indicated for sternotomy closure, where high tensile strength and long-term stability are critical.
The wire is available with 360° rotating and fixed head options, along with a range of needle alternatives, including cutting, diamond, and trocar point needles. These options allow surgeons to select the most appropriate configuration based on surgical technique and tissue requirements.
