Pegelak® Rapid
Short-Term Wound Support with Rapid Absorption
Pegelak® Rapid is a synthetic, absorbable surgical suture designed to provide short-term wound support during the initial phase of tissue healing. It is manufactured as a flexible, braided suture composed of a copolymer synthesized from 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide (PGLA), ensuring predictable absorption and reliable performance.
The suture offers excellent handling characteristics, including smooth passage through tissue, secure knot formation, and easy tie-down. Due to its rapid absorption profile, Pegelak® Rapid is particularly suitable for procedures where extended wound support is not required and early suture absorption is preferred.
