Pegelak®
Synthetic • Braided • Coated • Medium-Term Absorbable Suture
Pegelak® is a sterile, synthetic, braided, and coated absorbable surgical suture made from a copolymer of 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide (PGLA). It is designed for general soft-tissue approximation and ligation across various surgical specialties, offering excellent handling, smooth passage through tissue, and strong knot security.
The suture retains high tensile strength during the early healing period and typically absorbs completely within 56 to 70 days. Pegelak® provides reliable wound support with minimal tissue reaction and is available in violet-dyed or undyed forms, in a wide range of USP and metric sizes.
