Mid-Term Wound Support with Reliable Absorption
Pegesorb® is a synthetic, absorbable braided surgical suture designed to provide mid-term wound support during the healing process. It is manufactured from polyglycolic acid (PGA), offering predictable absorption and consistent tensile strength throughout the critical tissue repair phase.
The braided (multifilament) structure provides excellent handling characteristics, allowing secure knot formation, easy tie-down, and smooth passage through tissue. Pegesorb® combines the handling advantages of multifilament sutures with reliable absorbability, making it suitable for a wide range of surgical applications.
Pegesorb® is ideally indicated for general soft tissue approximation and ligation, as well as ophthalmic, plastic surgery, gynecological, and general surgical procedures. The suture is supplied sterile and intended for single-use surgical applications.
