Short to Mid-Term Wound Support with Predictable Absorption
Tekmon® is a synthetic, absorbable monofilament surgical suture manufactured from poly(glycolide-co-caprolactone) (PGCL). It is designed to provide short to mid-term wound support, maintaining reliable tensile strength during the critical healing phase and undergoing gradual absorption thereafter.
The monofilament structure ensures smooth passage through tissue, minimizing tissue drag and reducing the risk of trauma. Tekmon® offers high pliability and excellent handling characteristics, allowing precise placement and secure knot formation. Its absorption profile makes it suitable for procedures where extended support is not required but longer retention than rapid-absorbing sutures is beneficial.
Tekmon® is ideally suited for pediatric surgery, aesthetic and plastic surgery, as well as gynecologic and urologic applications. The suture is supplied sterile and intended for single-use surgical procedures.
